Linguistics Conferences
In addition to three annual student research conferences (LASC and LURC and LRSS), the department hosts workshops, regional conferences, and occasionally a major conference in its field.
Upcoming Conferences and Workshops
UCSC Linguistics is hosting BayPhon, a workshop on Phonetics and Phonology, on Saturday, May 10, 2025. BayPhon brings together faculty and students from linguistics departments in the region, including Stanford, UC Berkeley, San José State, and UCSC. Please see the website (https://bayphon2025.sites.
