Joshua is a 2nd year MA student with a primary interest in documenting and describing indigenous languages of the Americas. He currently does fieldwork on a threatened dialect of K'iche' (Mayan) with a more specific interest in the syntax, semantics and prosody of the language. His hope is to bring insights to the empirical domain from understudied languages while empowering speakers at home and abroad.
