About UCSC Linguistics
UCSC Linguistics offers undergraduate programs in Linguistics and Language Studies as well as graduate (MA and PhD) programs in theoretical and experimental linguistics. Our faculty has research specializations in phonetics, phonology, syntax, semantics, and psycholinguistics, and interests in a variety of languages. The department trains students for careers in teaching, research, and industry.
