Distinguished Professor Emerita Sandy Chung just published a Chamorro Grammar, the product of more than 40 years of fieldwork on the Austroneisan language of the Mariana Islands. The reference grammar provides a comprehensive overview of the language's grammar, including many topics that have never been described before. It is designed to be used by both linguists and community members, to facilitate language revitalization and renewal efforts. The research for the grammar has been supported by many grants over the years, including from the National Science Foundation.
The Chamorro Grammar is an open-access book, available to everyone through eScholarship, a service of the California Digital Library.
